Recording Studio Furniture

Recording studio furniture tends to be one of the last things people consider when setting up a home studio. During the development of a fully functional and effective recording environment, most people feel the need to procure the best possible electronics equipment available on the market. This is probably a great idea if you can afford it. You would certainly want the equipment in the studio to be of the best quality available for your budget. However, you should not make the mistake of neglecting the furniture that you purchase. Some people do not give this issue any serious consideration when performing a recording studio setup. However, without appropriate furniture, you may find your experiences in the studio to be at best ergonomically inefficient and in the worst possible case a disaster.

Making a decent recording in a studio can take a lot of time and effort. This requires sitting in the studio for extended hours. Would you want to do this using a chair or couch that was thoroughly uncomfortable? More than likely, you would become annoyed at having to deal with such an issue. That is why it is necessary to carefully plan the purchase of the best available furniture. Your choice will determine how comfortable you are while you put in the long hours required to make the studio time worthwhile.

This is one of the reasons why buying appropriate furniture for the studio is so highly recommended. Read the rest of this entry »

Style and Function: Using Creative Decorative Acoustic Panels for Recording Studios

Using decorative acoustic panels is an excellent way of improving both style and sound quality in a recording studio. Having the right acoustics installed in your studio doesn’t mean that style has to take a backseat to function. These creative panels are the best solutions for studio owners who want to have an establishment that offers the best recording sound quality without compromising style and ambiance.

While quality recording equipment is a must-have for any reputable recording studio, adding a dash of style that sparks creativity leaves a better impression on both clients both current and potential. Sometimes, the image and feel of a recording studio also plays an important factor in ensuring better performance from its users.

Designing a studio to be conducive to productivity takes more than just offering the best technology. Providing a good ambiance with the right acoustics also helps artists deliver their best performance. Although an all-black room may be a feasible standard to go with, today’s recording studios feature treatments with brighter colors and even creative acoustic panels. Depending on your target clientele, you can design your recording room to not only capture great music, but to also give the artist a mood boost. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s that simple; but, before you start recording there are few things you’ll need for your studio.

#1. A computer and software program. Almost everyone has a computer these days, but not just any computer will do. You need one that is optimized for music with a lot of storage, memory and the power to run your music programs. As for software, there are several options available and only you can decide which is best for your needs. Just remember your software and your computer is the brain power of your recording studio. Definitely get the best equipment and software program you can afford.

#2. Sound proofing is a vital requirement in your recording studio as without it your instruments and voices will bounce off the walls, creating an echo when you record. A good medium for this is recording foam.. as it deadens the sound and allows you to record without the echo effect. Anything that absorbs sound will work; I’ve known some would-be-stars to use egg cartons! Read the rest of this entry »
